At IBM, I was a key contributor to the Db2 for i query optimizer, tackling SQL performance challenges for hundreds of clients and significantly improving query execution times and system efficiency. My expertise extends beyond IBM i, encompassing query optimization for Db2 LUW, Oracle, and others.
At UKG, I continued my focus on database performance, driving optimizations across Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
My passion for performance tuning has led to patented innovations in query optimization, stream computing, cloud computing, security, and autonomic computing.
As an IBM Master Inventor, I played a critical role in patent review boards, evaluating the novelty and potential impact of emerging technologies. My contributions earned multiple IBM Outstanding Innovation awards, and at UKG, I helped establish a Patent Board, later earning recognition as an inaugural member of UKG’s Protego Society for contributions in patenting.
